Michael Ray Shaw

Michael Ray Shaw is a distinguished Masonic and fraternal leader whose service spans more than three decades. Raised in 1995, he is a member of Golden Chain Lodge No. 103, Prince Hall Affiliation, where he currently serves as Treasurer and has previously served as Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, and Junior Warden. His York Rite service includes Past High Priest of Mt. Moriah Royal Arch Chapter No. 21; service with Johnnie Carter III Council, Royal and Select Masters, as Past Grand Council Line and Grand Deputy Master; and Generalissimo of George Washington Commandery No. 21, Knights Templar. Within the Scottish Rite, he holds the 33rd Degree and serves as Prince of the Imperial Chamber, Imperial Council, with John G. Lewis Sr. Consistory No. 165, and as a Sovereign Grand Inspector General and Grand Almoner of the United Supreme Council, 33°, Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A. His Shrine service includes leadership in AL KADR Temple No. 153, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., as Imperial Deputy of the Oasis and Honorary Past Illustrious Potentate.
Brother Shaw's fraternal involvement also extends throughout the Order of the Eastern Star and its affiliated bodies. He is a Past Worthy Patron of Prince Hall Chapter No. 37, Past Worthy Joshua of Rosebud Court No. 11, Past Chief Advisor of Miriam Court No. 4, Past Chief Engineer of Faith Court No. 10, and a member of the Arthur Lee Tutson OES Youth Fraternity. A dedicated advocate for youth development, he serves as Louisiana State Director of the MVGCL Knights of Pythagoras, mentors E.H. Walker Council No. 7, and previously served as Youth District Director for the Seventh Masonic District. His mentorship and service also include the AEAONMS Shriners As Mentors program, Camp Chi Cota Youth Camp, and the Amazing Grace Foundation. In addition, he is a Life Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., having held numerous leadership positions in the Xi Eta Undergraduate Chapter and Gamma Iota Sigma Graduate Chapter, including Chapter President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Delegate, Director of Social Action, Historian, and Co-Director of Education. He has also served as President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Lake Charles, reflecting his enduring commitment to fraternal excellence, mentorship, education, and community service.
